Bekei Ijewere

Founder and CEO at Beks Culinary Academy

is a Chartered Accountant with a deep passion for Cooking and Baking.

She has successfully combined financial expertise with culinary skills to establish and lead Beks Culinary Academy. With years of experience developing recipes and managing a school lunch business. She founded the academy in 2021 to share her love for culinary arts and inspire others to pursue their passion in the kitchen.

Driven by the desire to elevate the way we cook and revolutionize the culinary scene in Africa, her vision is to establish Beks Culinary Academy as the premier institution in the continent.

She graduated from the esteemed Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in Boulder, Colorado, where she earned a High Honors Diploma in Culinary Arts and Operations. This immersive experience further solidified her expertise and expanded her culinary knowledge.

She is passionate about promoting gender equality and empowering women in the culinary industry.

Bolaji Oduyoye

He comes on board with a wealth of experience that spans over 32 years plus in the hotel industry. After acquiring his Certificate in Restaurant Management from the Ecole d'Hoteliere et du Tourisme , St. Quentin en Yvelines, France. He returned home and worked at the Central Hotel Kano and The Sheraton Lagos. 

His search for more experience and knowledge took him to the Hilton Kingston, Jamaica for  two years, then on to the United Kingdom for a foundation degree in Hospitality Management at Highbury College and worked at Carey's Manor Hotel and Spa before returning to Lagos.

He has continued to make a difference in the food production and hospitality industry. His artistic talents has seen him crafting master pieces for weddings, birthdays and promotional  events. 

Bolaji is passionate about pastry, cake baking, food preparation and sugar craft. Getting it done right is his motto. He loves to teach and impart knowledge.
