Nigerian Cookery

In this course, students will be introduced to Nigerian Cookery basics, Kitchen Utensils and Equipment, Spices, and knife skills. . We will travel North, South, East and West, teaching you our culinary pleasures using techniques and practices that guarantee success every time you cook. You will be taught how to prepare Rice dishes, Soups and lots more as listed below:

Jollof Rice, Fried Rice, Coconut Rice, Seafood Okro, Egusi Soup, Edika Ikong, Ogbono Soup, Effor Soup, Afang Soup, Yam Porridge, Moi Moi, Akara, Ogi, Fish Pepper Soup, Goatmeat Pepper Soup, Assorted Meat Stew,Garden, Egg Sauce, Puff Puff, Zobo, and Gizdodo.

  • Register online to reserve your workstation.

  • Maximum class size is 20

  • Students are expected to make payments before the start date.

  • Once registered, we will contact you via email.

  • Students are expected to come in comfortable and appropriate attire for work in the kitchen.

  • Covered footwear is advised, preferably non-slip shoes.

  • Students can bring containers to take home their portion of food prepared.

  • Use of face mask is preferred and we follow all COVID-19 protocols.

  • BEKS Culinary will provide all ingredients , utensils and equipment.

  • Classes missed can only be made up at the convenience of the instructor and may attract an extra fee.

  • .It is mandatory for students to complete and submit all assignments in order to be awarded a certificate.
