Duration: Three Months
Course Description:
This course in Food Preparation and Cooking is for candidates who want to begin a career within the hospitality industry, specializing in kitchen operations.
They will wish to progress as qualified chefs and will be able to demonstrate the ability to perform practical skills and the necessary knowledge in order to complete the assessments
The qualification covers an introduction to the hospitality industry, elements of health, safety and nutrition and the preparation, cooking and finishing of dishes using a range of different cooking methods
On completion of this qualification candidates may progress into employment as a trainee, or to the Level 2 Course in Food Preparation and Cooking or may decide to start their own catering business.
What you should note :
There will be an initial assessment to confirm whether a candidate is qualified for enrollment.
Learners will be graded per practical, assignments and written tests.
Certificate will be awarded to candidates who attain the required level of competence in the final examination.

Students are expected to make payments before the start date.
Once registered, we will contact you via email.
Students are expected to come in comfortable and appropriate attire for work in the kitchen.
Covered footwear is advised, preferably non-slip shoes.
Students can bring containers to take home their portion of food prepared.
What you should Note:
Use of face mask is preferred and we follow all COVID-19 protocols.
BEKS Culinary will provide all ingredients , utensils and equipment.
Classes missed can only be made up at the convenience of the instructor and may attract an extra fee.
.It is mandatory for students to complete and submit all assignments in order to be awarded a certificate.
